- Build up – adding more space by building upwards is great for small homes with limited land available. It is more expensive and will involve hiring a professional builder, but enables you to design what you would like
- Build out is another way of creating an entirely new space. It is more suitable for homes that have plenty of land available. It is a less expensive option than building upwards but will increase the value of the property
